I am pretty new to this site and to the "cattle" industry in general. I raise working quarter horses with my sister on our small ranch in northern Saskatchewan. I grew up on an acreage, got into horses, now have developed a small breeding program for working quarter horses. Recently my sis and I decided that we might like to venture into the cattle thing. I admit when we first decided to get into cows it was just because we wanted a way to keep the grass down on our land, and bring in a little extra cash in the fall. However we've decided that whatever breed of cattle we get into, we want them to be economical, efficient and desirable by consumers. That is to say, that whatever we end up doing, we want to do right. Purebred or commercial. So thats my little story and intro.
