A three-day program designed for people who have an interest in expanding their knowledge of the beef industry will be held in High River, June 9 to 11. Day one has participants estimating live beef cattle parameters that will later be measured on beef carcasses. Day two features beef industry experts, including Ann Dunford, Marty Carpenter, Christoff Weder and Cam Ostercamp, who will speak on industry trends and how the consumer impacts whether or not you make a profit in the beef industry. The final day focuses on carcass judging, beef cut indentification and component part yields and values.
